Quicksilver is now open-source

Nicknamed Alcor, the developer of the famed Quicksilver applicationĀ has opened up the source code for Quicksilver. Alcor had promised to open-source Quicksilver in time for the Leopard OS, and has kept his word. It is licensed using the Apache License. Quicksilver is very famous for being quick, light and improving our productivity. It is the most popular launcher at present, and things look better with the open-sourcing.

This event is not a feature update, and is expected to be more of a massive bug hunt and fix thanks to the open-source community that will be taking it for a spin. Also, the Alcor’s life will be easier, not to mention devote more time towards adding features rather than hunting down bugs.
